HopGoblin Ceilidh Band bounces around North West England, bringing the magic of ceilidh to a wide range of events. Whether it’s weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, club socials, PTAs, or sporting events, we’ve got the perfect mix of traditional and contemporary music to get everyone on their feet.

We’ve even ventured into the far North East and the Midlands, ensuring that no matter where your event is, we can bring the ceilidh experience to you. Our repertoire is a lively mix of tunes guaranteed to get everyone on their feet.

Rob, our caller, prides himself in reading his audience and choosing appropriate dances, ensuring everyone can join in on the foot-stomping fun. With HopGoblin, no one feels left out – we’ve got dances for everyone, whether they're total beginners or seasoned pros. Click here to see some of our past clients and testimonials!

Our main band includes five skilled musicians playing the melodion, djembe, guitar, and violin, all led by our charismatic caller. For a richer and more dynamic sound, our full band includes saxophone, concertina, and banjo, forming an 8-piece ensemble that delivers a vibrant performance, leaving your guests talking about your event for years to come.

We love seeing your smiling faces spinning around at our ceilidhs, and we have a real passion for what we do! Besides private events, we also organize our own, including the Summer Solstice and New Year’s Eve at Morley Green Club in Wilmslow, and a fun, fancy dress Hallowe’en affair at New Mills Town Hall in High Peak. All of our public ceilidhs have raised well over £1000 each, contributing to the North West Air Ambulance, MacMillan Cancer Support, and Blythe House Hospice just to name a few…
